Rural communities depend directly on their land, forests and wildlife. Associação Jovem Activo (AJA) works with young people to protect these natural resources, raising awareness about conservation and giving youth the knowledge and tools to become guardians of their environment.
What we do
- Workshops and campaigns on environmental conservation
- Workshops on biodiversity conservation and endangered species
- Training youth in wildlife and flora protection
- Community engagement in conservation projects
- Community cleanup campaigns and waste management
- Climate change awareness and action
- Educational visits to national parks (Zinave, Maputo)
Why it matters
By connecting young people with nature and with practical conservation work, we build a generation that understands the value of biodiversity and leads change in their own communities.
